Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2016 Verified Purchase Very good for making macarons. When I used wilton food coloring the color is not clear and oily. But these are so good!! 5.0 out of 5 stars Very good for making macarons Very good for making macarons. When I used wilton food coloring the color is not clear and oily. But these are so good!! Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2018 Verified Purchase I have Wilton, Chefmaster, and Americolor for they have different color swatches. I like Americolor best so far. It blends into the buttercream better and shorter developing time. The Americcolor is also more vibrant than Wilton and Chefmaster. Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2019 Verified Purchase I bought these to replace my old Wilton colors that had hardened up over the years. I was a o excited about the drop gel color aspect and not having to use a toothpick to get the color out of my old gel pots. The color came out great, packaging was fine and nothing exploded or was missing like other reviews. My issue is that I used HALF a bottle of the royal blue to match my Thomas the train fondant cake topper I was making for my son's second birthday and all I got was this periwinkle color. I made a Swiss merengue butter cream and it had a tough time blending in. Also, when I went to wash all my dishes, the heat of the water sort of "activated" the color of the dye and BAM! there was the royal blue color I had been after. Sooooo incredibly disappointing 1.0 out of 5 stars Blah color I bought these to replace my old Wilton colors that had hardened up over the years. So far I'm really happy with the quality. I've used other brands and feel this brand is better. The consistency is good, and not too thick or thin. I like that there is a tan color (they call it flesh) but it makes a lighter brown. The colors are mostly true from what I have used. I also like mixing colors and those combos have also turned out well too. I've used the coloring mainly in buttercream frosting and homemade fondant. The cupcake pics are from my kids birthday parties, and all the colors were done from this set - some straight and some mixtures. 4.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality Ordered these several months ago and have used them a handful of times. I used Wilton for the past two years and it does the job just fine. I was on the hunt for a particular color and stumbled on US Cake Supply gel coloring. The colors are deep and true and the color selection is great. What I especially love is the dropper top, so much nicer than dipping a knife tip or toothpick in your Wilton bottles to get a little color. I'm a super fan of this stuff. Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2016 Verified Purchase I have only ever used the cheap food colors from the grocery store, so this is definitely many steps up. I was watching lots of YouTube videos on how to decorate Christmas cookies, and came upon some suggestions to use this brand of gel colorings. I looked here on Amazon, expecting them to be expensive, and I was pleasantly surprised. I instantly ordered them, and received them in a couple days...thank you Prime. I made my cookies yesterday, and WOW...I can't believe I've missed out all this time. I used several of the colors, and only used 1-2 drops of each in about a cup or so of icing. I can't believe how concentrated these are! And the colors are so bright and vivid! I know these will last me a very long time, but if I ever run out, this is the product I will be purchasing from now on. My husband was also impressed by the quality, and also that these didn't leave that unpalatable aftertaste that some colors do. You won't be disappointed if you purchase these! Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2017 Verified Purchase So far I've used this for buttercream icing only. I'll update once I remake my fondant with it. I first made fondant using the Wilton colors, which are complete crap. These colors are easy to mix thanks to the cap, no toothpicks needed. I found that I needed to use much less color to get the same result and the results were rather spot on. I'll probably end up purchasing the metallic and neon because these are really good colors and not overly priced. * I've found that the purple tends to look more dark blue. It helps to add a drop of red and rose pink to make a good purple.* 5.0 out of 5 stars So glad I found So far I've used this for buttercream icing only. I'll update once I remake my fondant with it. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed

These shipped quickly and arrived in good condition, but that's where my satisfaction ended. When I first tried colouring some delicious Swiss meringue buttercream, I immediately noticed that the gel, which was supposed to dispense in perfectly even drops, came out in randomly sized globs. Once I started mixing it, the colour was not at all the way it's described. They're pigmented, for sure, but just not the colour as marked on the bottle lids. In addition to this, I noticed a very bitter taste which kind of ruined it for me. Later on, for my next project, I'll be purchasing a set of the Americolor food colouring instead. Wish I had done that in the first place.

Although my niece has begged me to make a rainbow cake it's been way too hot, so we've only used these to make pancakes. However, the colours are vibrant and the concentration is strong enough that you don't need a lot. We'll see how long they stay fresh as not all have been opened, but very satisfied so far.

Easy to use but a pain to open. Be careful that it will dye your fingers.
