I have a 20x52 ultra frame interx pool with the 1600 gph sand pump and cs8110 swg.
I only had this upward for about a calendar week.I did everything the manual said filling information technology with sand and backwashing
but the guess still reads in the yellow. If I backwash it two times a day it still is in the xanthous on the gauge.
Whatsoever ideas what I tin can practise to fix this? Thanks
Mutual with the intex sand filters. Mine has always read in the xanthous, just use the 25% rule, record your pressure afterward cleaning and when it goes upwardly 25%, aftermath information technology.
Mine reads just under the yellow when clean. I might have a needle width of greenish to a higher place information technology and I actually oasis't even seen information technology rise any even so. I took advantage of the massive amounts of pelting we had the final couple of weeks and backwashed while draining the pool back downwards to the preferred level. Hopefully I won't have to worry about backwashing for a while at present.
Mine reads about a needle width above yellow.I thought I was doing something wrong the reason information technology was up like that but if it common I wont worry about burning information technology upwardly.
just curious but could it be the sand I could only notice southern filter media. The guy at the pool supply shop said it was #20 just it has nothing on the bag. Thanks for the help
I would be more than concerned about it existence close to red. It is probably a 50¢ gauge.

Y'all're probably right about the cheap gauges they put on these pumps.I have another quetion.Later on all the backwashing
I did I have to put two more numberless of salt in the pool.Do I run the pump just for 24 hours like I did when I showtime put salt in
or being just 2 bags can I run the pump and the swg? Thanks for all the aid I'm new to this and tin use all the help I can become.
I got the 2650 intex sand filter and mine reads a needle nether yellow aswell. sometimes depending on what I have hooked up it reads a footling higher. I have been up and running for about iii weeks now and take yet to do a backwash besides the one 1 on first start up. I run pump for virtually 4hrs a mean solar day (my puddle is only 15') I wont backwash untill I can run across yellowish under the needle on consistent basis.
I nevertheless do non use a SWG for my chlorine I use bleach. I would presume yous would desire to run your pump to get the new salt all mixed in skillful. I would as well assume that if you added salt you would too demand to add some stabilizer aswell....
Practice you lot have a good test kit? might want to invest in some common salt strips. or nonetheless they measure common salt content
I don't employ a SWG either so I can't help y'all on that

My gauge doesn't seem accurate. I normally monitor the out catamenia on the return to see if I need to backwash. When the water pressure goes downwards, I know it'due south time to aftermath. I did confirm the guess works sometimes, I put a footling DE in the other mean solar day, and watched the force per unit area rise. But normally, it seems like the judge reads something different every time I turn the pump on.
I've been thinking about swapping out to a ameliorate guage. I haven't looked to see if the intex i has actual pressure markings or non. Anyone know what the pressures on the sand filter run? I've got the 1600 GPH.
I just looked at the replacement estimate on Intex's website. Looks like a 60 PSI estimate with the yellow warning expanse falling in the 10 to 20 PSI range and ruby-red beyond twenty PSI. I may try to find a liquid filled estimate to supervene upon it.
Finally got our pool upwards and running...merely I accept a question...my sand pump gauge is in the blood-red - like all the manner to the correct fifty-fifty before turning it on. I've back washed and it didn't drop hardly at all. I've already added salt and so I was going to plow it on to circulate the water to assistance the salt dissolve. Am I missing something or is to the gauge is wrong?? Information technology's putting out a good hard menses so not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions??.

The gauges go bad, a new gauge should fix it. ( information technology should return to zero when off.)
