Absolutely loved the loft beds. Easy to configure. We have two kids and bought two. First one took two hours to assemble as we were going slow. Last one took an hour to assemble by myself.

Instructions are easy to read, with referenced screws in the manual matching the actual size.

During the process I stripped a screw because I was using a drill and didn't have the head fully inserted. Bed comes with one extra of all screws so replacement was simple.

We saw on Pinterest someone strung outdoor lights under their loft to add more lighting. We picked up a 25Ft. LED G40 Outdoor Patio lights from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KCCQCYH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_varMDbH4DZZNV) and ziptied them to the slots underneith. Because the lights are LED they generate no heat and are shatter proof.

Only recommendation would be if you have a pillow top bed it may be higher than the rails which coule be an issue if the person sleeping in the bed is a roller.

I didn't receive all the pieces. I was missing the bottom shelf completely and the one that arrived was broken on the end. I was able to assemble the bed and it is pretty sturdy but without that additional shelf for support I don't think we will be able to keep this bed long term. I contacted the seller, manufacturer, and Amazon and wasn't given any replacement pieces, refunds, or a sense that anything was going to be done. I am highly dissatisfied with how this product situation was handled.

I built two of these beds for my boys, a 8 year old and an 11 year old. They both love them so far. Building wasn't that hard the instructions were easy to follow. I did good and used some bolts in other places, happily there's a Lowe's around the corner so I just got some more. Over all the beds are nice and seem sturdy but only time will tell. My youngest proclaimed after we finished building both beds that under his bed is his man cave.

We love this bed for a teenager -- the extra storage is great. Very sturdy when assembled. The assembly took about 4 hours with the help of a teenager. I didn't have an electric drill or would have been faster. Otherwise, it was good for my teen to help assemble -- great learning process. This was a product I thought would work well. It looks great and what I needed but unfortunately it didn't turn out as great as I thought. When it arrived I took it out of the box, carefully as to not scratch the paint. I set all piece on the carpet and began the construction. For one person I would not recommend because you'll have to flit the side up after constructing the pieces. After getting a hand with the lifted side I continued to assemble. It went fairly well for myself. I stated it about 1pm after lunch and finished it around 10pm: long breaks included. The only delay was knowing what parts go to the joining pieces. Some of the labor stickers with the letters were rubbed off the wood. So I had to take it apart when I learned it wasn't the right piece. That's neither here not there. What made me return it was the fractured wood pieces that split when I screwed in the bolts to fasten them together. It could have been a bad piece but it was part of the safety railing to prevent the child from falling over. That was a concern for me. I didn't want my niece to become injured from that. The entire loft bed seemed secure for a child but I know sometimes she's want to rest with her mom in the bed with her. That didn't seem as secure for both of them. The image to me seemed as if it could hand 180 of wight combine with my niece and sister in law. The broken split wood railing changed my mind. I ended up getting something closer to the ground for both of them. In the end I'm sad that it didn't turn out as I wanted but the bed was ok in all. Maybe with a stronger wood it could work.

The bed is sturdy, the gray color is really nice. My husband assembled rather quickly with his drill. I bought a 6 inch memory foam mattress from Walmart to make sure she had enough rail to keep her and all her pillows and stuffed animals contained. The space under the bed has become a fun fort too. Overall it's everything I was looking for and I have zero complaints.
